Education does matter, comparing the educated and uneducated, we can easily spot the difference. One may have a better job, the other might not have, and it always have been a vicious cycle. Being educated is a privilege that everyone should have, and it is the only way to break this cycle.
Altruism, I came across with this term back when I was 18 years old. A father of a friend of mine told me about how people are doing great things, and there is a saying ‘Humility is a virtue all preach, none practice, and yet everybody is contented to hear.’ So it’s about doing great things for other people, putting other people first instead of yourself, and being able to help them, you will get so much satisfaction afterwards.
If you have no knowledge on certain aspects of a social service, in this case, providing someone with clean water and electricity, perhaps making donation to the right organization is a great way to help out. We all need funds to run a project for a social cause. There are so many ways to do great things for other people depending on your capabilities, if you don’t have the mind for a certain thing, that doesn’t mean that you can’t help out. There are always different ways to contribute back to the society, and one of them is making donations.
