Water is everything, it is the base of life. It is what determines one’s life or death. It is the foundation of all living things on Earth, and if we have a problem with our foundation, everything will topple, just like how a foundation is so important for a high rising building.
I’ve been to Cambodia under MyCorps to build latrines for the rural communities over there. It was really heartbreaking to see that they drink water straight from a vase which was all cloudy and filthy. And even worst, they rare live fish in there. People may say that they are immune to these dirty water, but how long are they going to last? Their lifespan is definitely shorter compared to the ones that have access to clean drinkable water.
People who has access to most things, like clean water or electricity, they don’t seem to appreciate it. The only way we would appreciate it is when we lose it, a sudden blackout or the sudden cut-off of water for a few hours. In rural parts of Cambodia, they face these all the time, and those who can afford it uses car battery to generate their electricity for small house-hold uses.
I have a friend who told me this, if you have the intention on doing something good, and the intention is pure, then do it, because the entire world will eventually help you. Continue dreaming to make your dreams come true.
